What is RIDE and why do I need to support RIDE?.
RIDE's Mission is to: Encourage "Coalition Partnerships" for the preservation and restoration of the environment and advocates public access to natural areas for education and recreation for spiritual enrichment through contact with nature. RIDE's Goals are to: Alleviate through "coalition building" real or perceived conflicts between user groups (dedicated to enjoying natural settings) and to provide an open communication forum where mutual disagreements may be openly discussed for satisfactory resolution and concensus can be reached for the mutual benefit of all. RIDE encourages you to experience spiritual enrichment through physical exercise and contact with nature. Join RIDE now and help support the efforts that will provide you with a coalition approach that will solve environmental issues today and allow you to experience and enjoy our natural environment in the future. With your membership you will receive periodic updates. You will have opportunities to volunteer for restoration events, trail maintenance, trail safety patrols, meetings, special events and much more. Motivated by the lure of the out-of-doors; the smell of the evergreen pine needles, the sound of the breeze gently whispering through the trees, the beckoning trail as it disappears into the cavernous forest, the brilliant colors of the season-green, red, yellow orange, the golden waves of open prairie grasses, the exhilaration of unexpected wild life trotting out in front of you or standing in the distance and watching curiously as you go by seemingly undisturbed by your presence, or feeling the rush of adrenaline and the excitement of spiritual enrichment through contact with nature. Dedicated to preserving this experience to enjoy again and again for yourself and future generations.
